This is a guitar pick I decided to make because I have two cousins who passed away because of Pulmonary Hypertension.

Monica Anne Chroussis (August 17th, 1983 - November 1st, 2008) -

Monica wanted to be a doctor since she was young and attended medical school after she was diagnosed. She nearly got her masters degree and was engaged to be married when she passed away at the age of 25.

Monica and I happen to share the same birthday, although I was born in 1999. The only memory I have of her was when I called her on our birthday in 2008 to wish her a happy birthday and talk to her about Sara.

Sara Beth Chroussis (September 20th, 1985 - December 31st, 2007) -

My dad told me that she wanted to be a butterfly when she was young.

I was told by her parents, Paul and Karen Chroussis, that she played guitar and loved to go to local music venues to support the music scene and the local bands. I didn't know about this until a few years after I started playing guitar.

Sara was also a great painter. Some of her paintings were sold at her memorial service and other hang on the walls of her parents home. She made a painting of herself and her sister, Monica, that hangs in her parents living room. It is considered to be her masterpiece.

Sara passed away at the age of 22, only a few hours before her boyfriend was going to propose.

More about Monica and Sara and a few words from my dad can be found on page 3 of this link titled " Uncle Draws Inspiration from Nieces Who “Lived a Little Harder” " - https://phassociation.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/Pathlight-Summer-2010.pdf

Note - I apologize for the really small print. I knew it was small but I didn't expect it to be as small as it is.
